Plan Your Visit: What To Expect at Grace Community Church of Appalachia

Worship Atmosphere

Grace Community Church maintains a reverent yet welcoming atmosphere for worship. We kindly request that all attendees dress respectfully and modestly, keeping in mind that we gather to worship God alongside fellow believers. While formal attire is not required, we encourage clothing that is appropriate for corporate worship and fellowship. Please bring your Bible, as Scripture is central to our worship and teaching.

Music and Worship Style

Our musical worship includes both treasured hymns from church history and carefully selected contemporary songs. We believe that worship music should be biblically sound and appropriate for corporate worship, so we thoughtfully evaluate all songs before including them in our services.

Facilities and Amenities

Grace Community Church meets at Gray Ruritan, which offers convenient single-level access and ample parking. We provide a dedicated children’s area for families who prefer it, as well as a separate room equipped with a monitor for parents who need to step out with young children during the service. A children’s area is also available during our morning Bible study.

Giving

We do not pass an offering plate during services. Instead, an Offering Box is available along the back wall for those who wish to give, and online giving options are also provided.

Teaching Ministry

Our preaching follows a verse-by-verse expositional approach to Scripture, similar to the teaching style of pastors like John MacArthur, Jim McClarty, and Voddie Baucham. We are committed to presenting God’s Word in a careful and systematic manner.

Current Leadership

Grace Community Church is served by several dedicated leaders:

Dave Reynolds: Elder and Administrative Pastor, providing pastoral oversight during our formation

Kevin Varner: Primary preaching pastor and seminary student, called to ministry, and providing the majority of our pulpit ministry

Andrew Christian: Ordained Elder and experienced local pastor who has provided pulpit supply throughout the Tri-Cities area

Growing Ministry

As a church still in formation, we are actively developing additional ministry opportunities. We are working to establish evening services, mid-week Bible studies, and home fellowship groups. We continue to pray that God will provide additional qualified elders, teachers, and musicians according to His will and timing.

We invite you to join us as we worship together through the systematic study of God’s Word and genuine Christian fellowship.
